HDA: Insurance Shopper (BETA) - Now you can shop the HDA Universe of Marine insurance providers for GL Insurance with just one simple form.  We will share your “Declarations Page” and "Loss Runs"  from your current insurance with multiple insurance agents asking for premimum prices less than what you currently pay for the coverage you currently have.  This makes an Apples to Apples comparison possible.

HDA: Beneifit #1 Lower Cost of Insurance - We are working with Johnny Fisk to approach multiple carriers to explain that our industry has significantly less risk exposure than the Hard Hat divers.  We actually found several that agreed but only one that agrees with us well enough to send us a Memorandum Of Understanding! We now have discounted pricing package to Hull Divers Association Members from the Carrier!. Participation Rates in the HDA Insuarnce program can have big impact on all of our average premiums.  So the goal here is to build our membership to more than 2000 members so that our individual insurance rates drop significantly.  But we are not stupid, so to keep everything honest and fair we shop lots of Agents so we know we are indeed getting the lowest price for GL.

FUTURE: HDA: Marina Directory: This future HDA benefit will have all known marinas listed with Harbor Master and COI Distribution contact information so that it is super easy for HDA members to deal with mergers and accquistions for marinas and changes:

1. Demogaphic contact data for all Marina staff for easy COI distributions

2. Contrator Fees, Parking Fees, Access Cards and all  other costs the Marina applies to Hull Divers so SCRAPE can pass these costs on to clients

3. GL Insurance Minimums required, Vehicle Coverage limits,  and other insurance related facts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The HDA Memorandum of Understanding with Agents and Carriers requires us to confirm that your business meets the exact situations we negotiated as outlined in the DISCLAIMER below.  Any departure from this specific criteria will mean that you do not qualify for the HDA discounted rates.   Please disclose in your request for a quote in the last question that your business is different or you need additional coverage in your quote.

DISCLAIMER: HDA applicant’s operations are understood to be specifcally:

1. Cleaning and Inspection of Hulls, Props & Running Gear

2. Changing Zincs and Un-fouling Propellers for pleasure craft

3. Some commercial watercraft work will be covered but it must be minimal

4. Retrieval of dropped objects in various marinas and at residential docks

VALUE PROPOSITION:  I paid $9K in insurance,  If the HDA can save me 10%, that would be $900 (per year) or a 146% Return on my investment in HDA Memebership of $365.  Results will vary greatly.
